This article announces that the Sydney Water Corporation in Sydney, Australia, has awarded a contract for a 250,000‐m 3 /d seawater desalination plant to BlueWater Joint Venture, an entity that consists of Veolia Water and its construction joint‐venture partner, John Holland Group Pty. Ltd., headquartered in Melbourne. The contract is for the complete design, build, operation, and maintenance of a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plant, a project that is estimated to have a value of Aus$570 million (approximately US$780 million) for Veolia Water over the life of the contract.
