This article describes how the Baldy Mesa Water District (BMWD) in Victorville, California, selected a solution to upgrade its treatment technology to comply with the new federal regulation for arsenic in drinking water supplies. The article documents the successful completion of a long‐term demonstration project at BMWD to establish the performance characteristics of a 1,000 gpm ion exchange system.
