This article announces the opening of a 28 mgd wastewater treatment plant in Veracruz, Mexico, that was designed and built by the Mexican operations of Earth Tech, a global provider of consulting, engineering, and construction services. The treatment plant is administered by Fideicomiso del Sistema de Aguas Residuales del Alto Bio Blanco (FIRIOB), whose mission is to control and prevent contamination of the Rio Blanco River basin. The new treatment plant will remove pollutants and discharge the water into the Rio Blanco, which will help improve the environment for the area's 300,000 residents.
