This article describes how Ionics, a world wide provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, solved the unusual water treatment issues for the town of Stonington, Maine. Ionics custom‐designed a dual water treatment system that combined ozonation, ultrafiltration (UF), and nanofiltration (NF) to purify water from Stonington's two sources, a pond and several wells.
