Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has developed a geographic information system to track and model the flow and concentration of contaminants in water supplies. The Real Time River Spill model consists of five modules: stream flow and transport models; US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) reach file database; USEPA public water supplies database; US Geological Survey real‐time stream flow gauge database; and, US census population database.
