A series of tests was run on various Florida waters using test kits with an atomic absorption spectrophotometer serving as control, in order to determine statistically the accuracy of the kits for the relatively frequent and possibly expensive water quality measurements mandated by the Safe Drinking Water Act. Results indicated one kit was both easy to use and relatively accurate in determining concentrations of Fe/I.
