This article presents the Meter Installation Support, a device that holds and supports the meter while it is being installed. The meter can be carried to the job site by the handle and placed into the meter box while the utility worker is in a standing position. The device rests on the meter box, holding the meter in place while the worker easily adjusts the height with the wing nut and installs the meter. After installation, the support easily slides off the meter. This device won Second Place in the 2006 Opflow Gimmicks & Gadgets Contest.
