This article presents the Water Meter Fountain, an educational tool for public events. It demonstrates how a small leak affects residential water bills and explains how a water meter works, how the leak indicator on a water meter works, and how customers can perform their own leak checks. During a demonstration, the faucet on the fountain is closed unitl it drips, allowing the customer to see both the leak and the leak indicator moving. The fountain also is capable of demonstrating how the meter works in a simulated setting.
