This is the fourth of five articles on the key components of LT1. The first article (August 2002) provided an overview of the rule. The second article (October 2002) identified the necessary components of a disinfection profile. The third article (March 2003) addressed the requirements of a disinfection benchmark. This article discusses how LT1 regulates combined filter effluent (CFE), and answers questions on turbidity limits, lime softening, and reporting CFE information.
