The cover picture shows a “vending machine” that generates heteronuclear metal string complexes. By inserting coins, representing suitable ligands, into the machine and selecting the desired combination of buttons, representing the metal ions, tailored complexes can be prepared! These chain‐like complexes offer an excellent electron‐transporting platform, and the results of single‐molecule conductance studies on these compounds point to their potential applications as functional molecular wires. Details are presented in the Microreview by C.‐h. Chen, S.‐M. Peng et al. on p. 2510 ff . For more on the story behind the cover research, see the Cover Profile .
