In this paper we obtain a global attractivity result for the positive equilibrium of a nonlinear second‐order difference equation of the form x n +1 = f(x n , x n+1 ), n = 0, 1, ⃛ The result applies to the difference equation x n +1 =A+bx n /A+ n−1 , n = 0, 1, ⃛ Where a, b, A ϵ (0, ∞). © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
