Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has resulted in surprising disparities in incidence and death rates, with the world's wealthiest democracy demonstrating far worse results than those of a bankrupt, chaotic, developing economy. However, it is clear that both cancer treatments and research remain robust, indicating the prioritization of this disease despite the pandemic.
