Heterocumulenes, 6. — C 5 OS (5‐Thioxo‐1,2,3,4‐pentratetraen‐1‐one) — Preparation and Spectroscopic Properties C 5 OS ( 8 ) is prepared by flash pyrolysis of the precursor molecules 4, 5 , and 7 and by matrix photolysis of 7. The IR‐ and UV/Vis spectra of matrix‐isolated 8 are reported.
