Lisa M. Sweany's transition from her role as the athletics director at Armstrong State University to her new post as deputy AD at Georgia Southern University didn't happen in the traditional way. And it involved much more than the challenge of moving from a Division II school to a DI school. In fact, the change was precipitated by the consolidation of the two schools, which required Sweany to close Armstrong's athletics department.
