Author Daniel Tan summarized the recent advances in dielectric composites with the focused search for the method of enhancing dielectric strength. A SEM image of the polymer composite is presented showing the nanoparticle dispersion and bonding with polymer matrix via an in‐situ polymerization synthesis. The defects, electrical charge transport, surface imperfection causing dielectric breakdown may be suppressed by the adequate design of nanoparticle incorporation, core‐shell configuration, and filler‐polymer interface, which eventually leads to high performance dielectric nanocomposites for capacitors and electrical insulation.
