With a twist : When oligosilanes are mixed with polysaccharides, such as amylose and schizophyllan, novel inclusion complexes are formed (see picture). The oligosilane guests adopt a helical conformation within the chiral channel created by left‐ or right‐handed helical wrapping with the polysaccharide host polymers.
