Coagulation processes are important for many applications where solids are separated from liquids. Coagulation‐inducing chemicals are added to the suspension in order to agglomeration allow. Coagulation processes are still carried out empirically today, even though coagulation agents are expensive and ecologically polluting when overdosed. The authors present the modeling of the coagulation process using population balances.
