Needle‐type disk shaped Pt‐microelectrodes have been fabricated by simultaneous pulling of a quartz‐glass capillary and an inserted Pt‐wire using a laser puller. After polishing, microelectrodes with sub‐μm diameter were obtained with the smallest diameter as little as about 10 nm. These nanoelectrodes have been characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry in aqueous and organic electrolyte, and Z‐approach curves in scanning electrochemical microscopy. The fabrication procedure is described in detail in order to allow its easy application in other laboratories.
