Polymer layers templated around [Co(C 2 B 9 H 11 ) 2 ] − (1) counter ions are one of the structural features of the two‐dimensional coordination polymer obtained in crystalline form from Na‐ 1 and cyclotriveratrylene (CTV). In solution the [Na(CTV)] 1 (CF 3 CH 2 OH) 0.25 coordination polymer breaks up and [Na n (CTV) m ] n+ clusters are present in the gas phase and can complex one or two [Co(C 2 B 9 H 11 )] − ions.
