Courses on communication protocols can be positively enhanced by the use of support tools to stimulate learning. The tool described herein provides an integrated environment for the learning of Internet protocols, based on demonstration examples of the protocols' operation and proposed exercises of varying difficulties. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
