Abstract X‐ray absorption fine structure studies of some structurally important copper(II) mixed‐ligand complexes were carried out in the solid state and in aqueous solution. The analysis of the fine structure data gave the average bond lengths and provided useful information about the environment of the absorbing atom, the phase parameters of the first coordination shell and the total phase shift. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
