The baryon-number susceptibilities is correlated to the fluctuations obtainedin experiments, we can theoretically calculate the susceptibility and compareit with the experimental fluctuations data. In this paper, we calculate thebaryon-number susceptibilities from the Polyakov-loop-extendedNambu-Jona-Lasinio (PNJL) model, then compare them with the the heavy ioncollision experimental fluctuation data and the results from other models,lattice QCD and the Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs) approach. Our results arein line with the experiment and very similar to the results of DSEs atexperimental points, which shows that the PNJL model is suitable for studyingthis issue.
