要 旨:溶 接性 の改 善を 目的 として,市 販 の歯科技工用Nd:YAGレ ーザ ー溶接機 にPWM(パ ルス幅変調)回 路 を付 加 し,チ タ ン板 に対す る溶 け込み と溶融部 の金属組織観 察を行 い,そ の効果 に対す る評価 を行 った。JIS第2種 純チ タン板 に対 しアル ゴン ガス吹 き付 け雰 囲気下 で垂 直に レーザー光 を照射 し,溶 接機 の励起 ラ ンプ電源 回路 を改造 し,ワ ンシ ョッ トのパ ル ス発振 中 の任 意 の時刻 に電流 を66%に 制限 し,見 かけ上強 さの異なる2段 のパ ルスを発生 で きるように した。通常用い られ る単一 パ ルス の場 合,冷 却速度 が速す ぎるため溶融 部には気孔 が残存 し照射面 の荒れが認 め られる。PWM制 御 に よる複 合パ ル ス を用 い冷 却速 度 を抑 える ことに よってそれ らを解 消する ことが出来た。筆者 は安全 かつ確実 な溶接 を行 う上で重要 な技術であ ると考 えてい る。
