This technical report aimed to identify, in the light of the Cycle of Organizational Life model (CVO) of Greiner (1972; 1998), in which development organizational stage the company Scherer Industry of Agricultural Implements was. For this purpose, a qualitative research was conducted with descriptive purpose, through a single case study, using as data collection methods, semi-structured interviews with a director of the organization and documentary research. For the analysis of the collected data, it was used the thematic content analysis. Regarding to the characterization, the company is family character, and it was found that its management is under the command of family members, where there was a succession process linked to heredity and there is influence of familiar aspects in decision-making. Regarding to the characterization of the evolutionary period, according to the model, there were some situations that framed the organization in the second phase, called “survival”, such as: search for leadership, operational structure deployment, creation of incentive programs and adoption of standards of work. Regarding to the characterization of experienced crises, it were identified recurring patterns that also pointed to this second stage, such as: centralization of decision-making in directors, lack of autonomy and employees’s demotivation. This research, to meet the proposed objective, in addition to contribute to the improvement in the company's management processes researched, which passed to know the stage of the CVO in which it is, allows the deepening of future work on the theme.
