Odontogenic fibroma is a rare benign neoplasm that was categorized under the subheading of tumorsconsisting of odontogenic ectomesenchyme, with or without odontogenic epithelium, by the World Health Organization in 1992.A 42-year-old woman was referred to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Kanazawa University Hospital for evaluation of a lesion that was present in the right molar region of the maxilla for 7 years. The lesion was a 20×20-mm slightly radiopaque area with a groove formed by contact with theadjacent bone and was excised along with the first molar. Eight years have elapsed since excision, with noevidence of recurrence.
