1.は じめに 低層集合住宅 地のいわ ゆる良好 な"全 体環境"を 醸 成 するために`よ 住環境 ・街並み景観注1)・外部空間構 成の 各 ステ ー ジにおける居住者 の反応 行動 を把握す ることが 必要で ある。先に発表 した 「低 層集合住宅地 の景観計画 に関す る研究」(造 園雑誌VOL.46,No.5)で は,住 環境 に対す る認識構造 とそれに係 わる住宅地属性 につ いて考 察 した。本研究で は,低 層集合住宅地 の街並み景観 に対 す る居住者の認識構 造を把握 す ることを 目的と した。街 並み景観 に対す る居住者 の認識構造を とらえるには,街 並 み景観を構成す る諸要素 に対す る居住者の認識構 造 と街 並 み景観 の意味構造の考察 が必要 であ ると考 える。す な わ ち,居 住者の街並み景観 に対 する評価 は,街 並み景観 を構成す る諸要素 に対する認識過程 を通 じての全体的意 味構造 と して理解できると考え る。 本研究で は,ま ず情緒的語句(形 容詞対)を 評定尺度 としてS.D.法 により街並 み景観 を意味的 に把握 した。 次 に街並み景観を構成す る物理的環境構成要素(以 下景 観構成要素 と呼ぶ)に 対 する認識構造 を把握 した。 さら に街並み景 観の意味構造 と景観構成要素 との関連 性 につ いて考察 し,低 層集 合住 宅地 の良好 な街並み景観 の創出 におけ る住み手側か らの示唆 を得 た。
