O presente artigo tem por finalidade o estudo das Representações Sociais (MOSCOVICI, 2007) e suas interações na área do turismo, sobretudo do turismo industrial. O estudo de caso busca evidenciar a organização da imagem de representação do município de Araucária / Paraná e sua utilização como aporte para a validação da criação e desenvolvimento do turismo industrial no município. Para tanto, foi organizada uma metodologia que prevê a inserção de dados qualitativos e quantitativos na elaboração de núcleos figurativos nos quais os universos consensuais dos entrevistados se configuram em expressões da realidade. Tal realidade expressa, por sua vez, a qualificação do espaço araucariense como substrato para a inserção da atividade do turismo industrial.Palavras-chave: turismo industrial, indústria, representações sociais, imagem de representação.ABSTRACTThe aim of this article is to study the social representations (Moscovici, 2007) and their interactions in the tourism sector, especially the industrial tourism. The main issue in this study is expressed by the organization of the image and representation of Araucaria / Paraná and how it can contribute to the creation and development of an industrial tourism sector in the city. Therefore, a methodology that provides the inclusion of qualitative and quantitative data in developing figurative centers in which consensual universes of respondents are represented in terms of reality was organized. This reality expresses the qualification of the araucariense space as substrate for the inclusion of industrial tourism activity in the city. El estudio de caso pretende demostrar imagen representativa de la organización de la ciudad de Araucaria / Paraná y su posible uso como entrada para validar la creación y el desarrollo del turismo industrial en la ciudad. Por lo tanto, se organizó una metodología que contempla la inclusión de los datos cualitativos y cuantitativos en el desarrollo de los núcleos figurativos en los que los universos consensuales de los encuestados están configurados en las expresiones de la realidad. Este hecho expresa, a su vez, la clasificación de espacio araucariense como un sustrato para la inserción de desplazamiento de la actividad industrial.Palabras clave: turismo industrial, la industria, las representaciones sociales, la imagen de representación
