Adaptive Hypermedia Systems observe usersâ behavior and provide personalized hypermedia. Users interact with many systems on the Web, and each user-adaptive system builds its own model of userâs preferences and characteristics. There is a need to share the personal information, and the current research is exploring ways to share user models efficiently. In this paper, we present our solution for personal data exchange among multiple hypermedia applications. First, we designed a communication interface based on the REST architectural style, and then, we defined data structures appropriate for the data exchange. Our user model is ontology-based and therefore, the data from multiple providers can be aligned to achieve interoperability.
