. Turbulence is complex behavior that is ubiquitous in space, includingthe environments of the heliosphere and the magnetosphere. Ourstudies on solar wind turbulence including the heliosheath, and evenat the heliospheric boundaries, also beyond the ecliptic plane, haveshown that turbulence is intermittent in the entire heliosphere. Asis known, turbulence in space plasmas often exhibits substantialdeviations from normal Gaussian distributions. Therefore, we analyzethe fluctuations of plasma and magnetic field parameters also in themagnetosheath behind the Earth's bow shock. Based on THEMISobservations, we have already suggested that turbulence behind thequasi-perpendicular shock is more intermittent with larger kurtosisthan that behind the quasi-parallel shocks. Following this study, wewould like to present a detailed analysis of intermittent anisotropicturbulence in the magnetosheath depending on various characteristicsof plasma behind the bow shock and now also near the magnetopause. Inparticular, for very high Alfvénic Mach numbers and high plasmabeta we have clear non-Gaussian statistics in the directionsperpendicular to the magnetic field. On the other hand, fordirections parallel to this field the kurtosis is small and the plasmais close to equilibrium. However, the level of intermittency for theoutgoing fluctuations seems to be similar to that for theingoingfluctuations, which is consistent with approximate equipartition ofenergy between the oppositely propagating Alfvén waves. We hopethat the difference in characteristic behavior of these fluctuationsin various regions of space plasmas can help to detect some complexstructures in space missions in the near future.
