Today, changes in smell and taste are early signs of COVID-19 symptoms. Our main purpose in reviewing this article is to compare these reports and show that air olfactory dysfunction can be one of the early symptoms of COVID-19. Various causes havebeen reported for olfactory disorders, including inflammation of the cleft and obstruction of the nose and mouth, and damage to the epithelium of the cells that support the eye socket. The neurotropic potential of the coronavirus, which can attack and damage theolfactory bulb. In this study, we concluded that COVID requires the expression of two genes, ACE2 and TMPRESS 2, serum proteinase, and these two genes are expressed in the olfactory cells of the olfactory epithelium but are not present in the nervous system, which is why the sense of smell and taste improve after viral infection. Because the nervous system is not damaged.
