本研究の目的は, 就学前6歳児におけるRAN交互課題検査成績が1年後の小学1年生のひらがな音読力を予測する可能性を検討することである.対象は1, 001名中追跡可能であった377名である.その結果, 就学前6歳児が就学後7歳児のひらがな読み困難児を検出する予測可能性は, 規準値+1.5SDでは予測率が44%, 規準値+2SDでは40%に達した.RAN交互課題検査は就学前6歳児のひらがな読み困難児を検出するスクリーニング検査として有効であると考えられた.また, 6歳から7歳は, RAN課題の速度が速くなる群と変わらない群が見られた.就学前後1年間はRAN検査成績の変動が大きい時期であるように思われた.
