We evaluated the postoperative results for nine cases of Kienbock's disease which we surgically treated with tendon ball replacement.Release of wrist pain, recovery of grip strength and range of motion (palmar flexion and dorsiflexion) were satisfactory, however carpal height ratio and carpal height index on X-ray findings were decreased.We believe this method is an appropriate treatment for women or elderly patients with Kienbock's disease especially for those in whom the lunate has flattened and separated.
