The use of phytoregulators can mitigate the negative effects of lodging soybean plants. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effects of doses and stages of application of the chlormequat chloride phytoregulator on the productive performance of soybean in a controlled environment and ii) to evaluate the effect of doses and phytoregulators on the productive performance of soybean to field. The experiments were conducted in greenhouse and field, in the municipality of Lages-SC, in the agricultural year of 2016/17. The experimental design was a randomized block design, with four replications. In the greenhouse the source of variation was the combination of two factors: a) three phenological stages (V5, V9 and R1) of application of phytorregulator and b) five doses of the chlormequat chloride product 0,0 – 12.5 25 50 and 75 g a.i. ha. In the field, the treatments evaluated were: chlormequat chloride at doses of 100 (T1 Chlorm 1), 200 (T2 Chlorm 2) and 400 g a.i. ha (T3 Chlorm 3) of commercial product Tuval ®; etefon at doses of 110 (T4 Etefon 1), 220 (T5 Etefon 2) and 331 g ai ha (T6 Etefon 3) of commercial Etherel ® product; benzyladenine (T7 Benz) at the dose of 8 g a.i. ha of the commercial product Maxcel®; Prohexadione of calcium (T8 Pro.Ca 1) in the dose of 68.8 g a.i. ha of the commercial product Viviful ®; prohexadione calcium (T9 Pro.Ca 2) at the dose 110 g active ingredient plus the control. (only water, T10 test). In both experiments the cultivar used was TMG 7062 IPRO. In the greenhouse experiment, it was observed that chlormequat chloride, regardless of the dose used and the phenological stages of application, did not reduce the height of the plant and did not change the grain yield. In the experiment in the field all the phytoregulators used, except for etefon in the dose of 4.6 mL, reduced plant height. The mass of a thousand grains and moisture were negatively affected with the application of the phytoregulators prohexadione calcium, ethefon and benzyladenine. The chlormequat chloride phytoregulator at all doses used resulted in grain with higher diameter and higher productivity of soybean cv TMG 7062 IPRO.
