Les cercopitheques sont des especes de singe tres actifs. A l\'instar des autres especes, ils adoptent la majeure partie du temps des postures diverses. Le but de notre etude est de decrire le comportement de posture du cercopitheque nictitans. La methode instantanee de collecte des donnees a ete utilisee de fevrier 2002 a septembre 2002 et de juillet 2003 a mars 2004, soit une duree de 15 mois. Les types de posture utilises par les singes dans l\'execution de leurs activites ont ete observes. Les differents supports utilises pendant les activites ont egalement ete notes. Nos resultats indiquent que bien que les postures « arretee » et « couchee » sont souvent utilisees par les singes, la position assiseest le type de posture le plus frequemment adopte. En outre, la posture utilisee par les singes est en relation d\'une part avec les activites dans lesquelles ils sont engages et avec le type de support utilise d\'autre part. En effet, pendant l\'alimentation, les singes utilisent plus frequemment les supports medians du fait de la localisation des fruits dans laperipherie des branches. En revanche, les gros supports se pretent mieux au repos et aux interactions sociales car offrant une grande stabilite aux animaux pendant ces activites. Arboreal cercopithecine such as Cercopithecus monkeys are particularly active. Nevertheless, they spend most of their time in postural behaviors. The aim of this study is to describe the postural behaviors of Cercopithecus nictitans. We studied the postural behaviors for 15 months, from february 2002 to september 2002 and from july 2003 to march 2004. We used an instantaneous time point sampling regime to collect basic data on positional behavior. Our results reveal that although this species stand frequently and lie sometime, sitting is the postural mode most used by that monkey. Furthermore, in one hand the postural mode used by the monkey is related to the activities in which theyare engaged and in the other hand there is a close relationship between the activities in which the monkeys are engaged and the support types used. Indeed, during feeding, medium sized supports are more frequently used because the fruits are generally located at the periphery of the trees crowns. In contrast larger supports which offer better stabilityare most used by the monkeys during resting. Keywords : Cercopitheque, Nictitans, Posture, Parc National de Tai.
