Objectif: Cette etude a ete menee en vue d’etudier l’effet des engrais mineraux et des varietes sur le rendement et la rentabilite economique du haricot commun a Kolwezi. Methodologie et resultats: l’essai en champ a ete installe a Kolwezi, sous un dispositif split plot avec trois repetitions. Le facteur principal comprenait la variete (COD MLB 001, DC12496-50, HM 21-7, Jaune d’Uvira, K132, RWR 2245, UYOLE 96 et XAN 76) tandis que le facteur secondaire, l’apport d’engrais (NPK 10-20-10, Uree 46% N et KCl 50%K 2 O), etait constitue de deux niveaux : Non fertilise (0 kg d’engrais ha -1 ) et Fertilise (611 kg d’engrais ha -1 ). Les observations ont porte sur les parametres de rendement et la rentabilite economique. Les resultats obtenus ont montre que le rendement en graines de haricot commun est influence par la variete (la variete K132 produisant un rendement de 2378 kg ha -1 ), et l’engrais chimique (0,784 t ha -1 sans engrais contre 1,304 t ha -1 avec engrais soit une augmentation de 66%). L’etude du RVC a revele cependant que l’utilisation de l’engrais chimique au haricot commun est generalement moins rentable a l’exception de la variete COD MLB 001 ayant un RVC egal a 2,1. Conclusion et Application des resultats: la variete K 132 a donne le meilleur rendement en graines et peut donc etre recommandee aux exploitants agricoles de Kolwezi. Cependant, l’usage des engrais mineraux au haricot peut se realiser seulement avec la variete COD MLB 001. Par ailleurs, nous recommanderons les recherches sur les doses decroissantes d’engrais afin de determiner la dose optimale pour les sept varietes qui ont montre une faible rentabilite. Mots cles: Engrais, Varietes, Haricot commun, Rendement, Rentabilite economique, Kolwezi English Title: Response of eight varieties of common bean ( Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to mineral fertilizers in the Kolwezi area, Lualaba (RD Congo) English Abstract Objective: This experiment was conducted to study the effect of chemical fertilizer and varieties on the yield and the profitability of the common bean in Kolwezi. Methodology and results: the field trial has been installed in Kolwezi, in a split plot design with three repetitions. The main factor included the variety (COD MLB 001, DC12496-50, HM 21-7, Jaune d’Uvira, K132, RWR 2245, UYOLE 96 and XAN 76) while the secondary factor, the fertilizer (NPK 10-20-10, Uree 46% N and KCl 50% K 2 O), was made up of two levels: no fertilization (0 kg of fertilizer ha -1 ) and fertilization (611 kg of fertilizers ha -1 ). The observations focused on yield parameters and profitability. The results showed that the common bean yield is influenced by the variety (the K 132 with a yield of 2378 kg ha -1 ), and the chemical fertilizer (784 kg ha -1 without fertilizer against 1304 kg ha -1 with fertilizer, or an increase of 66%). The study of the RVC (Ratio Value/Cost) shows that the use of chemical fertilizer to the common bean is generally less profitable, at the exception of the variety COD MLB 001 which gave an RVC equal to 2,1. Conclusion and Application of the results: the K 132 variety gave the best yield and can therefore be recommended to farmers of Kolwezi. However, the use of chemical fertilizer to the common bean can be made only with the COD MLB 001 variety. Furthermore, we will recommend research on the decreasing doses of fertilizer in order to determine the optimal dose for the seven varieties that have shown low profitability.
