鹿 児島県で はカボチ ャが約1,300ha作 付 されてお り, 鹿児島県の主要野菜 の一つ となってい る。 この カボチ ャ には作型が収穫時期4-7月 の半促成栽培,早 熟栽培お よび収穫時期11~12月 の抑制栽培 があり,な かで も早 熟 栽培が約500ha,抑 制栽培 が約700ha作 付 されてお り, この2作 型 が中心 になっている。 これ らの カボチャに例 年ウ イルス病 が多発生 し,生 育抑制な ど生産阻害要 因の 一つ となっている 。そこで防除対策の基礎資料 とするた めに,カ ボチャを中心 に県内に栽培 されてい るウリ類 の ウ イルス病 の発生状況 を調査 し,病 原 ウイルスの同定 を 行 ったので,そ の概要 を報告す る。 なお報告 に先立 ち,標 本採集の際に協力 して頂 いた鹿 児島県経営技 術課柿 内良農専門技術員,病 害虫防除所上 忠衛主 任研究員,同 肥後三郎主任研究員,農 業試験場牟 田辰朗主任研究 員,同 尾松直志研究員に心か らお礼 申 し 上 げ る。
