東洋医学への意識調査を奈良医大卒業345年後の医師を対象に調査した。郵送で実施され回収率は24.1であった。調査結果は「東洋医学に対して興味をもっている」と答えた医師は83.0であり「西洋医学と異なる良さがある」を理由としている。一方「興味がない」と答えた医師の17.0が「東洋医学に触れる機会が少ない」を主たる理由に挙げている。全体的に「今後東洋医学に関するセミナーなどの勉強会に参加したい」は89.8と高くより多くの勉強会やセミナー開催が求められている。「東洋医学に関するどのような講義を望んでいるか」では処方解説基礎知識診断方法を希望している。「これからも東洋医学の活用」に関する質問では93.2が向上的意識をもった解答をした。以上将来の医療を踏まえた回答であり学生時代には受講しなかった漢方講義を独自に勉強する意欲が感じられた。これは東洋医学への社会環境的な動向によるのかも知れない。
