Je dois d’abord dire combien je suis honorée de me trouver parmi vous pour rendre hommage à une femme qui « marche derrière ses mots », pour reprendre l’expression de l’écrivain haïtien, Lyonel Trouillot1. Elle agit politiquement et restaure, intellectuellement, la place de la question des femmes dans le politique. C’est d’ailleurs pourquoi nous avons organisé avec elle, à Alger il y a deux ans, le colloque Genre et citoyenneté dans la postcolonie. Ces trois termes signifiaient bien notre engagement commun.
