In this paper, it analyzes smartphone addiction and uses of high school students. A survey was conducted to high school students in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, on their smartphone addiction and uses. The results are as follows. First, more than two-thirds subjects are latentor high-risk groups of smartphone addiction, and smartphone addiction has a correlation with academic achievement. Second, more than half the students started smartphone in elementary school and are using smartphone for leisures such as watching videos, sending messages, playing games, or listening to music. They are usually simple aims of studying. As shown in the results, high school students are using smartphone faster and more nowadays. This results from the spread of smartphone, which has substituted the roles of computers and cell phones. Smartphone has become an indispensable part of their lives. The results of the paper show an objective analysis of smartphone use of high school students and put an emphasis on its educational uses at school.
