Summary The remains of several stone buildings on the island of Clairinch in Loch Lomond are described, and the results of excavations in 1935, 1978 and 1980 presented. The finds are few but a mediaeval date is suggested. The fact that a charter was granted on the island in 1225 suggests that the settlement was of some significance.
