In Colombia, peasant women have been historically marginalized from the satisfaction of their rights. In the economic aspect, there is evidence of the lack of opportunities for access to employment and credit resources. This document analyzes the social and solidarity economy process of the Inzá Tierradentro Peasant Association ACIT and the potential for the women ́s empowerment. Based on qualitative research and critical social theory, a documentary review was make to establish categories of analysis on the field of agrarian, economic and gender studies. Subsequently, the context of women and the economic proposal promoted by the peasant community were characterize. Finally, the characteristics of the women of the ACIT were identify through intersectional analysis to understand the factors that contributed to their empowerment.
