汽水湖の塩分状態は,海水,淡水の流入条件や地形変化,気象等の諸条件によって,時間的に変動する.従って,汽水湖の水質を管理するにあたっては,それら諸条件の確率統計的特性を把握し,汽水湖の塩分状態の変動範囲を認識しておくことも重要である.そのためには,現地の水理量の長期に連続したデータが必要であるが,観測網の不備,欠測等のため,取得が難しいのが現実である. 本研究では,青森県小川原湖への海水進入現象に関わる水理量のデータセットを整備することを目的とし,観測体制が充実し且つ欠測の少なかった1997,1998年の観測諸データ間の関係を調べ,経験式を作成した.また,1996年以前の15年間を含めて,観測されていない項目および欠測データの補完を行った.また,復元したデータの妥当性について考察を加えた.
