バンペイユを試料とし,茎および葉におけるリモノイドの存在状態について顕微鏡による組織的観察とHPLCによる化学分析により確認した.(1)検鏡の結果,茎の篩部にp-N-ジメチルアミノベンズアルデヒド溶液により褐色を呈する不定形の物質が認められた.この物質はジクロルメタン,酢酸エチル,アセトニトリル,クロロホルムに可溶性であり,石油エーテルおよびヘキサンに不溶であった.さらに塩化第二鉄溶液により紫色に呈色し,アンモニア性硝酸銀により褐色に呈色した.(2)葉の裏面に暗色不定形の物質が認められ,P-N-ジメチルアミノベンズアルデヒド溶液により褐色に呈色し,ジクロルメタン,酢酸エチル,アセトニトリルおよびクロロホルムに溶解し,石油エーテルおよびヘキサンに不溶であった.(3) 葉中のリモノイド量はノミリンが20.3ppmを示し,他のリモノイドに比べ高い値を示した.
