Freshly harvested pomegranate 'Ganesh' fruits were subjected to treatments of wax, wax coupled with carbendazim (0.1%), captan (0.2%), copper oxychloride (COC) (0.25%) mancozeb (0.2%). These fruits and untreated lot (as control) were kept at room temperature (22.2-24.4°C with 52.0 to 82.0 % RH) and in cool chamber (16.14 to 18.22°C with 85 to 95% RH). Results indicated that fruits treated with wax coupled with carbendazim (0.1%) could be kept upto 48 days in cool chamber as against 30 days at room temperature. Data on shelf life, physiological loss in weight (PLW), juice content, acidity and TSS indicated that the cool chamber might be an ideal on-farm storage facility for maintaining quality and market acceptability of pomegranate.
