Objective: In the Covid-19 pandemic process, it was aimed to determine the level of emotional state and burnout of the healthcare professionals working actively in the intensive care unit. Material-Method: This descriptive study was conducted on 122 people, including 92 women and 30 men. The universe of the study was composed of intensive care physicians, nurses and health technicians, and the snowball sampling method was used as the sampling method. In collecting data; positive and negative mood scale and Maslak Burnout Inventory were used as descriptive information form and scale. In the study, the data were obtained in the cross-sectional time interval (01.05.2020-15.05.2020) by keeping them open to sharing on social media. Data analysis was done in SPSS 25 program. Results: The mean age of the participants was 22.1% (27) anesthesiologist, 43.4% (53) anesthesia technician, 32.8% (40) an intensive care nurse, and mean age 32.41 ± It was determined that it was 8,64and the average working year in the profession was 9,44 ± 8,21. It was seen that the highest occupational group with positive emotion-status was nurses. When general burnout sub-dimensions were evaluated, it was found that they experienced moderate burnout in emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment and low burnout in depersonalization. In the study, the satisfaction level of which was 74.6%, it was found that as the years of work in the profession increased, the level of negative mood increased. It was also determined that those who received in-service training, married and single people experienced a higher rate of positive emotions. Conclusion:In Covid-19 process, it was observed that intensive care workers experienced moderate burnout in emotional exhaustion and personal success, and low burnout in depersonalization. It was concluded that the epidemic process did not cause devastating destruction on the emotional states of individuals, and that successful health practices and policies had positive benefits on the human factor.
