The research covers the question of specifics in application of the term «Objective design» in theory and practice of design. The semantic significance of this term, its perception and competence in professional circles is also considered. The research includes a set of general scientific methods (historical-comparative and chronological, a method of terminological analysis), which helped to identify and consider official definitions of the term «industrial design» as well as terminological interpretations of the term «Objective design».
