A new type of biologicall y active dietar y supplement – BADS Hepar Formula was develope d. The compositi on of BADS was justified, which proved to have synergisti c properties forming a balance d complex for the maintenanc e of liver metaboli c processes , protecti on and restorati on of its cells in conditions of pathological changes . A possibl e mechanis m of participati on of functional ingredient s of the developed product in relation to metaboli c processe s in liver disease s is presente d. The purpos e of the st udy is to carry out in situ test s of Hepar Formula among childre n with chronic viral hepatitis. Clinical evidence of functional properties of the new type of biologicall y active dietar y supplement is provided. The therapeuti c efficacy of the develope d product is studied by includi ng BADS in the diet of 20 children aged 9 to 14 year s with chronic viral hepatitis B and C in the integrati on phase of the infectious process . Clinical symptoms were investigated in the dynamics of dietary therapy. By the end of the treatment , good and satisfactor y results were reported in 90% of the children of the mai n group and 80 % of the control group. The develope d product contributes to the improveme nt of adaptation capabilitie s of the child’s body. Side effect s in the applicati on of BADS Hepar Formula are not noted, which is essentia l for pediatri c practice. It is possibl e to combi ne the developed product with other drugs. The result s of in situ test s showed that the inclusi on of BADS into the baseline therapy contributes to reparative processe s in liver cells, accelerate s tissue regeneratio n after inflammatory diseases, improve s the genera l condition, has hepatoprotectiv e and anti-inflammator y effects. The new kind of hepatoprotecto r can be used in prevention and complex treatment of chronic liver diseases. T he opinion of the Expert Counci l of the Russia n Federati on was received, the develope d product is included into the Federal BADS Register.

In situ Testing of Biologically Active Dietary Supplement Hepar Formula in Children with Chronic Viral Hepatitis
