This paper is an introduction to four essays that make up the gender and sexuality cluster in the FIU Law Review symposium issue dedicated to the Twelfth Annual LatCrit Conference. Morrison’s introductory essay ties together the manner in which each article addresses sexuality - and gender-based “whereness” - the combination of physical and discursive space. The introduction notes how each essay asserts that location matters to the construction of gender and sexual identities and the construction of location is impacted by sexuality and gender as well. Morrison’s essay independently argues that gender and sexuality can be located, dislocated and relocated and that entities can be transformed when this movement, whether physical or discursive, takes place.
