The purpose of this research was to evaluate the value added of xylanase enzyme production from red sorghum bran biomass of Bandung Local varieties, West Java, Indonesia. Sorghum bran had highest hemicellulose content among other parts of red sorghum biomass. Xylanase was produced by solid state fermentation method while the value added analysis was carried out using Hayami and Kawagoe methods. The red sorgum bran hemicellulose content was 59,3%. Xylanase enzyme yield from red sorghum bran was 28,99% with activity of 715,45 U/mL. The results shown that sorghum bran had 1.193.000 IDR/Kg value added in xylanase production; Profit margin of 1.435.000 IDR/Kg; and company profit of 65,7%. Keyword:
