El presente trabajo aborda la relacion entre discapacidad, educacion superior y derechos humanos. Parte de una investigacion sobre la inclusion de estudiantes con discapacidad en la Universidad Veracruzana, la cual tuvo como objetivo principal analizar la representacion social de la comunidad universitaria sobre las personas con discapacidad y su inclusion a la universidad. Se presentan los resultados de la aplicacion de una encuesta cuyo proposito fue indagar sobre las representaciones sociales de la comunidad universitaria acerca de los alumnos con discapacidad y como se estan respetando o no sus derechos humanos. Las conclusiones apuntan hacia una representacion positiva de la inclusion universitaria de los alumnos; sin embargo, existe discriminacion latente al no existir lo minimo en cuestion de accesibilidad. Abstract This paper addresses the relationship between disability, higher education and human rights. It is based on a research about the inclusion of disabled students at Universidad Veracruzana, which had as its main purpose to analyze the social representation of the university community about people with disabilities and their inclusion to the university. The results of an applied survey whose purpose was to investigate the social representations of the university community about students with disabilities and how their human rights are being respected or not are presented in this work. The findings point out a positive representation regarding the university inclusion of the students with disabilities; however, there is latent discrimination in the absence of the minimum accessibility concerned.
